Testing

Testings are held approximately every 8 weeks. Each testing cycle is specifically designed to deliver the necessary information for student advancement and effective application of material. While most students are encouraged to test each cycle, it is not obligatory. Eligibility to test is determined by stated requirements (see below) for which it is the student’s responsibility to complete prior to Testing. The emphasis on goal setting and achievement helps foster perseverance and determination.

1. Class Attendance (~2-3x per week)

4. Demonstration of all color belt forms/one-steps

5. Demonstration of current rank Poom-sae

6. Demonstration of rank appropriate sparring/combat sparring

7. Demonstration of rank appropriate weapon form

8. Demonstration of rank appropriate board break

9. Creation and demonstration of self-defense scenario

10. Instructor Invitation to Test

11. Parent/Guardian Approval (as needed)
